The College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences (CVAS) aims to contribute to national development through the advancement of animal health, veterinary education, research, and innovation.

The College supports poverty reduction, food security, and sustainable livestock production by strengthening veterinary services, promoting animal welfare, enhancing animal production systems, and facilitating the transfer of appropriate technologies to farming communities and stakeholders.
